Gas Coupons

Concept: To attract more customers, some gas stations offer coupons that will take a certain amount off of each gallon of gas.

Much like gas stations sometimes have discount days, some stations offer coupons to attract new customers. These coupons are usually not national campaigns, but local gas station owners trying to increase business. They are most likely to be found in local newspapers, in your mailbox or sometimes on flyers that are distributed. There can be real savings gems found in these coupons sometimes, so it’s always worth the time to keep your eyes open for them.

**You still need to compare prices. If the coupon is for a gas station that has prices that are regularly higher than other gas stations in your area, even with the coupon you might not be saving money.

**Be sure to read any restrictions that the coupon comes with. Some coupons limit the number of gallon of gas that the discount coupon can be used for.
