Restaurant Coupon Tips

There are times when dining out can be cheaper than eating at home. Keep your eyes peeled for lunch and early bird specials.

Use 'Buy One Dinner, Get One Free' coupons. See the swfloridarewards.com to find these online. Sometimes the Entertainment coupon book also has lots of these, as well as many other types of discounts:

Don't be afraid to take your leftovers home with you! For many people, dinner portions are more like two meals. Why not eat them both, separately?

Fast food can be a real deal, but don't make it the mainstay of your diet. Your health is your wealth.

Use coupons, but use them wisely. Ask yourself these questions:

* If the product is more expensive than your usual brand, will the coupon still
save you money?
* If you have to buy several of an item to use the coupon, will you be able to use it all before it goes bad?
* Will you have to drive out of your way to take advantage of the offer?
* If so, will you save more than you spend on gas?
* Do any of the supermarkets near you have a day when coupons are worth even more?

Online coupon sites make finding coupons easier. Check swfloridarewards.com and cityrewardsnetwork.com often. Some others require registration. Read their privacy policies carefully before entering your personal information:

Manufacturers' Coupons

Many of us do not get as much from our food dollars as we can. By using coupons to help pay for things at the store, you can often save several dollars a week on your grocery bill. Smart shoppers take the time to look for, cut out, file, and use cents-off coupons. Refund forms, and other money saving offers can be found in newspapers, magazines and in the stores.

Coupons are easy to use, but store them so you can find them quickly. Set up a file by putting coupons into groups such as cereals, pizzas, cake mixes, paper goods, pet food or anything you buy often. A shoe box with envelopes, marked on the outside with the type of coupon, works well. Or down load them from the Internet from sites like swfloridarewards.com or cityrewardsnetwork.com.

Once you have put the coupons in order, you can quickly pull out those you need. Use them when you are making your shopping list, or if you find a sale in the store. Before going to the store, write your shopping list down on the back of an envelope. Place a mark beside the items you will be buying with a coupon. Put the coupons inside the envelope. If you shop at more than one store, make a list on an envelope for each store, and add the coupons you want to use at that store. By doing this you will avoid mistakes and save time.

Some people who use coupons think they save money, but may spend more than non-coupon users because coupons are usually for brand name, higher priced items. To avoid that trap, use coupons to buy only items you use often, things you would like to try, and when the item is already on sale.

Even if you have a coupon, be sure to look at other prices. Some items cost you more, even with a coupon, than the brand with the store's name on it, or something you can find in the generic aisle.

Many stores will have coupons that you can use only at that store. Often you can use a regular coupon with this in-store coupon for extra savings. For example, the store has a 40 cents-off in-store coupon on an item. You have a 50 cents-off coupon for the same item. Used together, you will save a total of 90 cents off the item.

To get the most from your coupons, try the following ideas:

* Watch the weekly store ads. Buy the item you want when it is on sale, and use a coupon for extra savings.

* Take advantage of "double coupons," but be sure you know your prices. Often stores with double coupons charge more for things.

* Shop at stores that will take manufacturers' coupons and the in-store coupon for the same product.

* Pay attention to refund offers. Often a product is on sale at a special price to promote a refund offer. Use a manufacturer's coupon when you shop, and you will save three ways. Be sure to keep the sales receipt, the refund offer form, and the "proof of purchase" together. Often there will be offers on the package itself.

* Take your coupon box with you to the grocery store each time you shop. Things may be on sale that are not on your list, but are good buys.

* Clip every coupon you can find and get involved in a coupon exchange. Some stores have bins of unwanted coupons. You can find coupons for items you often use and share those you will not be using.

Consumer Price Index

Consumer Price Index (CPI) Coupon Link

Final treatment for Consumer Price Index (CPI) Coupon Linked Instruments effective with the 3Q04 capital classification.

The rule currently lacks the ability to accommodate floating-rate instruments that reset in response to changes in the consumer price index (CPI) as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. GSE issuance of CPI-linked instruments is tied to swap market transactions intended to create desired synthetic debt structure and terms. In such cases, the true economic position nets to the payment terms of the related derivative contract. Accordingly, in order to accommodate and address the existence of CPI-linked instruments in GSE portfolios, OFHEO directs that the net synthetic position be evaluated in the RBC stress test model. That is, for CPI-linked instruments tied to swap transactions that are formally linked in a hedge accounting relationship, the GSE should substitute the CPI-linked instrument's coupon payment terms with those of the related swap contract.

Coupon Advertising

Coupons are a slam-dunk when it comes to tracking your advertising. By placing different offers or different designs in different publications, you'll know exactly which ones are working for you and which ones aren't. If you're having your coupons printed, you should use a unique design or paper with watermarks to keep them from being easily replicated. And keep the coupons as people redeem them so you know just what percentage is coming back to you from each place. Check SW Florida Media Group for sites like swfloridarewards.com and cityrewardsnetwork.com coupon sales.

A close cousin of the coupon is the gift certificate, and you should always have them available for shoppers who are unsure of what to purchase. When customers buy gift certificates rather than products, you're able to keep more inventory in stock during busy periods. Be sure to put an end date on your gift certificates and include disclaimers, such as "This gift certificate cannot be used to pay on account," "...cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer" or "...cannot be redeemed for cash."

Here are a few additional tips when it comes to using coupons to advertise your business:

* Be sure and put an end date (a date when they're no longer valid) on all your coupons. If you don't, you'll have to honor them for as long as you run your business.
* Be careful about your offer. A coupon offering something for free will get the people in, but they may not return. Lots of businesses find that when people come in to redeem a freebie, they don't even focus on what you have to offer and you lose the ability to sell them something else. Better to offer something free with an additional purchase or give a 50 percent discount on the purchase of one item.
* Include your coupons on your website and keep that page up to date.

Consumers will be able to receive local printable coupons online through a partnership that began Now between City Rewards Network and sw florida rewards.

Under the partnership, the Dining giant will pair its service with SW Florida Rewards local merchants, allowing people surfing the Web for a local merchant to also get a discount coupon displayed on It's business listing pages.

These coupons can be printed directly from a computer and redeemed at a store or restaurant location or local business.

Here’s an example of how the service works: consumers can go to swfloridarewards.com page, type into the search box “pizza restaurants and it will take the searcher to a page listing all of the pizza restaurants near them. Those that have a Cityrewardsnetwork.com.” Consumers can print out the coupons and redeem them at the local business.
cityrewardsnetwork database of more than 20,000 coupons from any of the cityrewardsnetwork merchants that participate in cityrewardsnetwork.com will be able to be printed directly from the internet, according to Mr. Smith. New coupons from cityrewardsnetwork.com merchants are added on a nightly basis to ensure the most recent offers are available. “The benefit for the merchant is increased distribution,” he said adding, “We are enabling our swfloridarewards.com merchants to get exposure for their coupons on a major coupon search engine.”

In addition, businesses can easily add or update their local business listings on cityrewardsnetwork.com. Once coupon information is entered, the coupon is displayed within hours. Businesses do not need a Web site to participate.

RX Coupons

For anyone that has medical conditions that require prescription drugs, you know that they can take a large amount out of your budget. What a lot of people don’t realize is that there are a number of ways to save that they may not have ever considered when it comes to prescription drugs.

The fact is that if you aren’t getting some type of discount on your current medication, you are likely throwing money away. While there are many ways to reduce the cost of prescriptions, one of the newest is leveraging the fierce competition among pharmacies these days by being aware of all the pharmacy rewards that exist. Here are just a few:

First and foremost, combine store pharmacy offers with any available manufacturers offers to receive the greatest returns. Check cityrewardsnetwork.com

Don’t assume you cannot use prescription coupons with co-payments or insurance plans. Frequently you can. The major exception is when your medications are completely covered by Medicare (some breathing medications, diabetic supplies, etc.); you cannot receive financial gains on federally funded prescriptions. Your pharmacist knows the requirements and is generally very supportive in sorting out any confusion.

Many pharmacies and stores honor competitors coupons. This includes pharmacy coupons. If your store circular provides a prescription coupon, but your local store does not have a pharmacy, other pharmacies in your area often will.

Some offers are valid only on “new” prescriptions. A “new” prescription is any doctor’s written prescription, however, even if you are already on the medication. If a pharmacy coupon or offer is available, consider asking your doctor for a new written prescription rather than a refill. Manufacturer offers for free trials, samples, or other “first prescription” coupons and vouchers can usually be applied to any “new” filled prescription.

As with all the money you are able to realize by taking these tips into account, be sure to place any money saved into an investment account and not merely leave it in your regular banking account. With just a few minutes work, you should be able to shave double digit percentage savings off what you are currently paying for your prescription medication and may be able to cut their costs by more than half with some dedicated work. I always check my local rewards network to see if there is anything I can use swfloridarewards.com.
